Hello, Nice to Meet You!
I'm Lauren: graphic designer, small business owner, amateur photographer, mom, and maker. You will often find me tucked behind a computer screen but I also love to sew, letterpress, foil emboss, throw pottery, and drive my kids from school to piano lessons to flag football and back again.
My stationery journey began 10 years ago with the purchase of an oh so lovely antique C&P Pilot table top letterpress. I self-taught and side-hustled for many years and a little over three years ago I quit my comfy day job and dove in to small business ownership. A couple of friends and I opened a brick and mortar stationery store in Sioux Falls, South Dakota called Oh My Word Paperie. We curated a store full of beautiful products from talented designers, designed a successful line of original products, created several custom wedding suites, and even worked on a little project with Food Network Magazine. While I will always cherish the years spent and the lessons learned in the quaint downtown store and all of the wonderful people who filled the space, the time had come to shift my focus from retail management to my true passion: design and product creation.
In February 2019, Ramona Lane opened as a wholesale paper design company. While this looks different from what I was doing 10 years ago, two years ago, heck, even a month ago, one thing hasn't changed: I believe snail mail can bridge generations, brighten even the hardest days, and serve as a time capsule from another life. Ramona Lane's values are centered around creativity, honesty, supporting local printers, and offering quality made-in-America products. I have big vision for Ramona Lane, and I cannot wait to share the journey with you.
